A graduate of Yale University, Frederick S. Brown has over 25 years of experience as a Personal Financial Therapist. His financial background includes experience as a banker, stockbroker, investment advisor, personal financial consultant, educator, author and financial writer.

Over many years, Mr. Brown has given many lectures and taught many MONEY AND SPIRIT courses for corporations, institutions and conferences. These include Sun West Bank Santa Fe, NM, LL Bean (Freeport, ME), Headmasters Conference for Independent Schools, (Boston, MA), Regional New Thought Conference of Ministers (Albuquerque, NM), Scherer Institute of Natural Healing (7 years), Santa Fe, NM, the Santa Fe Community College, Santa Fe, NM, the University of Maine Community College, Brunswick, ME, Maine National Bank, Portland ME, and for members of the Methodist, Unity, United Church of Religious Science, and Presbyterian Churches in different parts of the country.

Since 1976, Brown has authored five books including The Stock Market Game, J Weston Walch, 1976; Managing Your Money, J. Weston Walch, 1977, The Executive Cassette Workbook on Personal Finance, The American Management Association, 1978: Yes! You Can Manage Your Money, self-published, 1987, and Money and Spirit, A.R.E. Press, 1995. He has recently published a new book entitled "Be Your Own Financial Therapist".

For the past five years, Brown has written a MONEY AND SPIRIT column for The Santa Fe New Mexican. In the past, Brown has written many articles and columns including a MONEY AND SPIRIT column for The Monthly Aspectarian (a new age Chicago periodical ) "Tracking Your Money", (1980) "Managing Your Money", (1982) two 12 part series for The Bangor Daily News (Bangor, ME), "Looking At Your Financial Self", an article for Venture Inward (A.R.E. magazine) 1987; "Money and Spirit", two articles for New Thought magazine (1996), and Unlimited Human Magazine (the journal of The International Association of Counselors and Therapists) in 1996, and a series of articles for the Crafts Report, a national craft magazine in 1998 and 1999. He has also appeared on local television and on many national radio programs.

Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Fred Brown comes from a long line of bankers, who were the founders of Brown Brothers and Harriman, the oldest private bank in the United States.
